I was gonna buy the Explorer Express kit but I already have a camber kit so I dont need that and adusting Torsion bars is easy enough. Since I have a 98 Sport there are already the blocks/spacer in the leafs. How do I move them to between the axle/leafs? Also when adjusting the torsion bars does it need to be jacked up one side at a time under the A arm or under the cross member to leave no strain on the torsion bars?

The blocks just come out once you remove the center pin. Think of them as very (very) short leafs although they don't really provide any spring, just fill the space of the missing springs. Once you remove the center bolt, they will slide out. You should be able to place the required number of blocs whereever the instructions tell you to put them.

The procedure that I read from Ford for adjusting the torsion bars has you do it while the vehicle is on the ground (when going up). If you do it with the spring already loaded, you won't have to wait for the torsion bars to settle. It said that if you are going down or go up with the weight off the torsion bar you had to drive it for 10 miles over varying terrain to allow for the bars to settle. When I go up on mine, I do it while it is on the ground. When I go down, I do it while it is on the ground however I jump up and down on the running bar several times. I then will take another measurment after I have driven it a bit. Adjusting the torsion bar bolt is easier though if you lift the Explorer by the frame or put a 2x4 under the front cross-bar and lift it up just enough until the tire leaves the ground.

Thanks...and does anyone have some good before and after pictures taken from nearly the same angle?
