Hey all:

I want to do this fog light mod, but I can't figure out how to remove the lower air box to access the wiring.

Any help would be appreciated.

Pull up very hard. Watch out, when it lets go, it lets go.

It's not going to break if I do that, is it? I do need to put the thing back in.

It is attached in the two places you can't see: at the bottom (MAF end) and on the passenger side wall. If you can wedge something flat under it between the lower airbox and body directly below the MAF, you should be able to pry it up easily.

I wouldn't worry about breaking it. It'll sit there just fine without the mounting hardware and the box itself isn't going to break if you're not poking at it with something sharp :).

Would it make sense to pull that air silencer out of there while I have it out? I did that in my Cougar years ago and got a little quicker throttle response.

Swiss cheese it.
