ok
so i got my warn manual hubs put on yesterday and i have to admit i don't know how to engage them

do i just turn the little knob on them from FREE to LOCK? when i turn it to LOCK it doesnt' seem to click into place, should it? will i have to turn it with a little force to get it to click into the lock postion?
i turned them from FREE over to LOCK and drove it around the block, and it didnt' feel like it was in 4x4 at all......in fact i'm 99% sure that it was not...

also
do i need to use the push button inside the truck as well?

please help
thanks
ryan

If you installed them correctly, just turn the knob from FREE to LOCK, then hit the 4x4 button and you should be set to go. You can also engage the 4x4 before locking the hubs, it doesnt really matter. They dont really click into place or anything, just make the arrow point at LOCK and you should be set...

ok
i was under the impression that i wouldn't use the 4x4 buttons inside the truck anymore

thanks!

The 4x4 button in the truck is still necessary to engage the transfer case. The hubs just lock the wheels to the front axles.

Yup, you still use them, the buttons engauge/disengauge the transfer case. Now with manual hubs you have the option of 2 wheel LOW, where you can leave your hubs unlocked and put it in 4x4 LOW and you will have a lot of torque at the rear wheels. Great for pulling boats out of the water...Have Fun!
