The temp guage on my amp read 150 degrees today. That's the hottest it's ever been. Today is also the hottest day of the year so far and my car was parked outside during school then I pumped it on the way home. It did not go into thermal shutdown nor did i notice any difference in performance. I just wanna know how hot is too hot. thanks

Steve

what is the brand name of your amp? im just curious.

GS Designs. Made by Autotek.

I would say that your amp is fine. I know that thermometer inside my car sometimes reads 120 degrees when I come out of work. Direct sun can have weird effects on thermometers. If your amp didn't shut off I wouldn't worry about it. You might want to feel the temp with your hand too, not just go by the thermometer. If you can't keep your hand on it then it's probably too hot, but if its like that after just a couple minutes it might be related to the sun. I'd say just keep an eye on it.
