How is it going guys? Just wondering how many O2 sensors my 1993 Explorer XLT 4X4 has. I took a look under the truck and saw two sensors coming off of each manifold. Are these both O2 sensors? If they are both O2 sensors, how do I go about figuring out which one is bad? Or with 120,000 on the truck should I just replace both?

I was also thinking of replacing the FPR. Where is it located? Also, If I want to replace the O2 sensor(s) and the FPR, how much will this run? I will do the job myself so I would just be purchasing parts.

Let me correct myself....there is not two sensors on each manifold, there is one sensor on each, making a total of two sensors overall.

I believe that your 93 has 2 O2 sensors; one on each pipe.

My 94 has 2 as well...I think the 91-92's may only have 1 O2 sensor but I am not sure about that. The later models have more; they have "upstream" and "downstream" O2s.

I priced a pair of O2s and a FPR one time not long ago. I think an O2 is about $45 each. FPR is about $80? but I am not sure, I can't remember what the guy told me.

91???

How many O2's on a 91 sport 4by??? Thanks..

Like I said in the other post, I think the 91's and 92's have just 1 O2 sensor, and it might be located just aft of where the two header pipes come together. But I am not sure, this is just what I have heard...best to just get under and check as it only takes a minute.

Yo,

You have 2 on the 93 and 94's and if you replace one replace them both. I belive they are in the neighborhood of 40-65 bux apiece depending on where you buy them.

And for some reason I wanna say that there is a third on some where around the catilitic converter. I remember seeing it in my chilton Book.

any other questions feel free to ask
