My stock springs are officially dead. Before I installed the add-a-leaf. The overload spring was bent down. I don't have the cash for OME springs but something needs to be done. I am just going to get a set of springs from a junk yard probably ones off of the newest explorer I can find. Has anyone done this how much should I expect to pay?

I think you'd be very happy with the OME springs. They are a bit more expensive but they are definately worth it.

$100

I was wondering if OME made the springs for the older explorers. Answers my question. Mine is stock right now....will the a@@-end sit up to high or not??? I've got warrior shackles on right now and I like the stance.

If OME doesn't work out I might take you up on that price if you're selling a pair tiessen

Any spring place should be able to order you a set of factory rate aftermarket replacement springs for about $90. a side. Thats what I did with my ranger.

The OME spring part number is OME-36. It is offically for a 1996 Explorer but fits the First Generation Explorer (4 door for sure) fine. You do need to get difference bushings since OME ships the springs without bushings. If you have a 1996 or newer explorer you can use your stock bushings.. If you have a first generation you need to get them from a very good spring shop (we don't have one in Tucson, Az) or from a dealer (2 day special order in Tucson).

It does lift the rear end of your explorer. It really depends on how much your rear end is sagging now. It lifts the rear about 2" over stock height (assuming your stock springs haven't sagged yet).

$100 is about what you should pay for used leafs from a wrecker. That was the original q I think. I don't have any for sale, sorry.
