It uses plastic pop rivets. Pop 'em out with a screwdriver.

first off welcome to the board!
hehhee this can be tricky,
first start off by taking a screw driver and taking the 2 screws out that are by the inside door grab handle.
Now while your there, carefully remove the thin trim that sits around the door opening handle *the one you pull to open the door from inside the truck* careful not to break it....just pry it with a flat screw driver....but do it easy.
next take the flat screwdriver and at the bottom of the window/lock button area theres a little indent where you can place a flat screw driver and pop it up.....
once its *the window/lock buttons*, unscrew the 2 screws that hold the wiring harness in....its on the back side....you'll see it.
now roll down the windows *i say this so you won't get locked out* and lock the doors.... twist off the door lock cap knob deal.....
starting at the top, grab the door panel and carefully pull it upwards and out......it sits in a little grove.
then after that theres just a bunch of stupid rivets, just gotta tug at them to get them to pop loose...
i think i got it all..

99% sure you won't find a problem with the wiring. The radio is probably going. That is happening a lot after about 10 years with the head units.

most likely it's the factory amp. they suck. eventually everyone has a similar problem.
