you should be able to just replace the seat and the tracks with no problem. i'm not really sure about the wiring, but if you have a haynes manual look though it and see if it shows what wires go where.

hope this helps.

ok, i asked that "please" right as i figured out to just switich the tracks. so i went out to the shop, and took apart the eddie bauer seat track, and looked at the config. i also looked at the wiring. ok, i put that aside. next, i got the limited seat and took the track off....guess what? the tracks were the same! the limited track was no good though because it was outside sitting in the actual explorer, so rain got to it, and the motor was no good. but the track off the eddie bauer was still good. but still the same problem. wont wire in straight up, right? WRONG! just take all the wiring guts from the eddie bauer to the limited! note: this will not work if you want to keep the memory seats. i have no use for the memory, because i am the only driver, and i dont have the control module. anyway, just take out the wiring guts of the limited, and the computer under the seat, and put in the new wiring guts. all the connectors are the same! then i just bolted the seat back in and viola! the passenger seat was even more easy, it had the same connector as the eddie bauer goin to the floorboard, so i undid the 5 bolts, and bolted the new seat back in. i was luck on the track, because the limited one still worked. so ya, i figured it out. give me time, and i will figure things out. email me or post if you have questions on how to do this if i wasnt clear. its a really nice set up. anyway, here are pics:

Do a search on:

THIS IS HOW TO INSTALL POWERED MEMORY SEATS...
BY: BIG COUNTRY...

I explained everything on how to set it up...for the wires that are coming out from under the seat for power and crap...in the place that they are, its the same, its just a different color of wire in the 2nd generation...
let me know what color of wires you have and how big they are, cuz 6 small wires are gonna go to your memory switch and the rest is
one small ground (black)
one big ground (black)
one big power ground (black/white: goes to your DLC...
one big hot @ all times (for yours, might be green)
one small hot @ all times
one small hot @ ignition
