Ok, I am new to this forum and this is a question I've had for quite some time. A while ago I started to notice a whine in the engine around the alternator/pulleys area. its not a vaccum sound or a chirp. it comes and goes depending on the weather (hot, cold, rain, damp etc.) and it also gets a bit higher sounding when accelerating but then after so long or so many rpms it goes away. Does any one have any idea as to what it could be? I was thinking maybe the idler pulley, or the belt or something? any help would be great. thanks much.
Also on the rear of the air filter box there are two small hoses. what are these called/for? one of them is broken...taped it back together but would kinda like to replace asap...thanks
