Hi guys i got a huge probken with my 96xlt v6 ohv 4x4 expl, everything started like 3 months ago, we went to a offroad long trip thru the central nexican mountains, good fun,some river crossings, mud all that nice stuff, on a very long mountain uphill my o/d off ligth started blinking and the transmision started to slip we pulled over an waited a couple of hours and started the way back home, the o/d ligth stoped blinking and the slip ceased too.
Back in hone we took the truck to the shop for a full trans rebuild, the problem is that the trans slip persists i dont have cruise control or o/d also the akternator died an my battery too!
I replaced the alt with a new one also the battery with a new ywllow optima ( i have a 10k warn winch )
I also replaced the vss and dashboard cluster due a speedo jumping needle and the temp gauge and speedo ligths wasnt working, now the same ligths on the new cluster are not working too( the bulbs are ok) so may be another thing, i need some help and expert advice.
