Hey all,
It's me again. So I replaced my blend door actuator about two weeks ago because it was skipping bad when going to heat. I always had the problem that my air flow only came out the center vents no matter what mode you put it on. Yesterday I pulled the glove box down to see the vacuum motor thinking the motor wasn't working, when I noticed that the lever it connects to is broken. I have searched this site for a fix because I don't want to pull the dash and put a new box in. People mentioned getting a company to 3d print the part if someone would help with the cost. Being someone who took engineering in high school since a freshman, I decided to see if anyone has made a model/fix for the lever that you can 3d print. Low and Behold, I found one!! Someone has made a fix for our lever problem using a 3d printer! He has even refined the design after testing it himself. I have included a link to the site where you can find the files below. A little recommendation when printing it is to make sure your infill is atleast 50% or higher. If you have any questions on printing it let me know as I am a 3d printing snob myself.
