i decided to tell my story after reading one from a guy w/ a ranger

so a little while me and a buddy decided to go on an off roading trip in my stock 2wd X at an offroad place about 70 miles 1.5 hours away from our houses.

we were planning to go up saturday night and come back sunday afternoon. we left at about 8.30 at night
-no snow chains
-little food
-stock car
-no rope / chains
-parents did not know we were going i told them i was going to a birthday party then sleeping at my friends house / going surfing for the first part of the day.

here it goes : there was traffik so we got to gorman at about 10 and then we had about 10 miles to go up the mountain, we made it up there fine in ice uphill all the way no problems

we set up camp at around 11 and had a fire ate and added more clothing to keep warm and decided to go at some offroading at about midnight and we got out and were playin in some snow, my friend spotted a trail going up very steep and jokingly said to go up it and i said hell no so we went back to camp and went to sleep we woke up at 9 packed up and started heading down the mountain

somehow on th way down we got sidetracked and ended going up that icy trail my friend pointed out the previous night. we were wondering why we had to make runs at it to get up, we finally dropped down into another campsite that the only way out of way the way we came in.

but there was no way the car was going to make it up the trail going the other way so my friend told me to go up a big dirt incline and we would be where we needed to ,

we almost got to the top when the wheels started spinning, i stopped and all there was to do was back down the hill , after about 3 feet the front end of the car slid so the car was on the full incline, Now we were
S-C-R-E-W-E-D i jammed in the parking brake and got out to ckheck it out , the parking brake was barilly holding the car, if we did anything the car was going to roll. we were ****ting in our pants when i decided to suck it up ans if the car rolled it rolled we werent going to stand around and look at it all day so i got in and started backing up again and we were very lucky it sort of worked the car was now off some of the incline and the rear bumper was on a tree so the car would not go any where if we tried to pull out the wheels would just spin.

so we went for help we found a guy with a 4x4 f-350 and luckily he pulled us out with no problems and we were out

we made it home fine and my parents did not suspect a thing.

fun to vent isnt it? and people learn things too.

im just glad that I didnt roll, i was sooo close to rolling, it was rediculious.

good thing you didnt roll man, how scary would it be to roll?

IM happy that the guy that worked for the place that owned the land didnt pull me out or i would have gotten one hell of a fine.

Okay so now tell me that you've at least learned your lesson about going wheeling alone, and NOT to do it...

Or if you are messing around alone just don't do anything that will get you bind, try to use good judgement, though I know that good judgement dissapears when wheelin sometimes.
