I-901 WA. smoking ban

I am bringing a copy of the initiative that states that smoking is prohibited in public places and PLACES OF EMPLOYMENT.


There is more to story but in a nutshell
Now that the weather has turned cold our break/lunch room at work turns into a smoke house.
Last year I filled out a slip and put it in the suggestion box (about a smokefree lunchroom) , but our plant manager did nothing about it because the smoke did not effect him because he does not come into our lunchroom
Now I guess he will have to do something about.

Thankfully I work in two schools, both of which cannot allow smoking by state law.

Flagstaff Arizona doesn't allow smoking in any public building, even bars. Its the best thing ever.

Good for you, Joe! I fought that same battle back in the 70's , but without a law behind me.

I also use to smoke till one of the boys when he was about 13 got caught smoking and he said he was just "following me". I quit that weekend

Good for you. I'd be proud of doing that. Maybe it'll get a few people to quit. It's too cold to go outside, so maybe they'll stop instead of freezing for a smoke.
