While backing out of the garage this weekend, I knocked the antenna off my 2013 Explorer (next time I'll wait for the garage door to be up all the way). I will have it repaired, but my husband is taking it on a hunting trip leaving tomorrow morning and needs the GPS...question is, will it still work (I used it briefly in town, but still worried it won't work when he really needs it)? Any makeshift repairs for someone not-so-handy? I still have the antenna, but not sure if taping it back on for the trip will be helpful...thoughts? Thanks!

Welcome to the Forum.:wavey:
The only thing you may notice is that your AM/FM reception may not be as good. That is what the 'stick' antenna is for. The actual base contains the antenna for Sirius and the GPS antenna is under the dash toward the driver's side.
Please add the model of your Explorer to your profile so it show in the margin. Thanks.

So were there any issues with the GPS?

I am missing my "stick" antenna as well and my GPS works fine. Only issue is with FM radio which I never listen to anyway since I have Sirius/XM
