2002 Explorer 4wd
Heya all!

So i have been having a heck of a time trying to identify this problem and im pretty much at my wits end. Hopefully your knowledge can help?

Its a 2002 Explorer with 4wd. The issue is a loud rhythmic rumble while the car is moving forward. It sounded like it was coming from the front end, but by now i have replaced all front end moving components... all of them... and its still there!

It is a 4wd car, rear wheels are solid with no side wobble at all, so i cant imagine those bearings being shot.

Here is a video of the sound. Its a bit faint in the video, but very loud in the car.

Thank you for any and all help you guys can provide i would be really grateful!

Try rotating your tyres, could be separation. I had similar sound, resulted in a blow out. Sound went once new tyres fitted.

Rear wheel bearing. Jack up the rear with both tires off the ground grab the spring and spin the tire on each side. You can feel the grumble through the spring of a bad wheel bearing.
