I disconnected my battery to clean the MAF

...... and when I try to reconnect it, the alarm keeps going off. I didnt even know the thing had an alarm. How Do I disable the alarm?

If you have keyless entry, try inputting the code.

Or, put your key in the door, and turn it.

Or put the key in the ignition and turn it.
 






When you say the alarmis "going off', what do you mean? The horn sounds? Or some other sound?

Im dying here. The door lock or Starting the truck doesnot disable the Horn/Alarm? Its Midnight and my neighbors are getting pissed.........:)
 






keep it off till morning.....


then in the morning...reconnect it..if it still does it

just drive around for awhile(with the horn going off) i bet it stops after like 30 mins...

I'm sorry but that was just to funny, Try disconnecting the horn then drive around.

i know..an i felt bad..cause it was just what i would do..but somone belived it :eek:

turn the key to the on position then connect the battery
 


















Finally realized that the Truck had an aftermarket alarm on it also. I got it out and havent had any more problems....... BTW, it was a GM Alarm?!?!?!?! Said so right on it...........
Its in the trash now:)
