Well, I had a 33 code on my airbag light. I looked the topic up here and saw some debate to just what a 33 code meant. Some said it was something with the passenger side airbag connector and some said it was with the driver side. Well, it was the little connector under the driver seat. The little green connector with the green/black and green/red wires. It looked ok just looking at it but a slight tug on the 2 wires and they pulled clean away from the male connector. Hmm, that looks like a problem. I made a good temp connector until I can get to the junkyard a scavenge a replacement connector. Bingo, the fault light is now gone. Just thought I'd put out my findings to help someone else.

Hi I drive a Sportrac 2001, I have the air bag light on, how do you get the 33 code?
I took it to autozone for other failure but the scanner didn't show anything about the air bag.

I have opened the dash passenger air bag disconnected and connected a few times but ligh still on.

Driver side have not checked!!
