I have a '95 AWD Aerostar with a grinding noise coming from the right side on a left hand turn at any speed. With a listening device I eliminated the wheel bearing and the outer end of CV shaft. It seems to be coming from the inner end of CV. Its not a metallic sound or a clicking sound but more of a rubber or plastic grinding with a speed related pulse to it. Is that what these CVs sound like as they wear out? I would appreciate any response. Thank You.

Outer boots are fine, no grease. The inner end seems to be coupled with a flange of some sort going into trans case. I wonder if thats where the noise is coming from. I'm going to try to get a repair manual on this thing to get a better grip on it.
