yep as with all X's mines fell ill due to a terminal case of crappy-transmissionidus hehe
will have to replace 2morrow great way to spend a friday changing out a dead tranny for another one u know will die and costing $$$$$ in the process

Yeah, you get used to replacing them as regular maintence. It's horible FORD refused to rework a piece of garbage that they will gladly sell over and over to Explorer owners.

Im really glad ive got a manual transmission, no need to worry about it slipping on me. Where in Jersey are you from? I live in Northern NJ califon to be exact.

and rocket no i dont have a shift kit this is my first 4x4 i was an import guy b4 this hehe i have switched so anyinfo on shift kits would be great thanks in advance
