Hi guy,
I bought 2 years ago my 2000 explorer eddie bauer 5.0l awd from one of my neirbourg and i just fall in love with this truck. At first it was my winter car, but now, after all the body repair, i want to keep using it in the summer. But here's the problem, just after the body repair , there was a lack of power and when he was on the lift, i decided to take off all the fourth cat-back, split them in half, and remove the ''porcelain'' and reweld them. Result: huge gain of power but bad mpg... Combined i do 10mpg and highway i do 13 when i'm lucky... My question is: would it be better if i unplugged all the o2 sensor because they don't really do a reading due to a massive air flow... Or it will be worst...?
