I have an exhaust leak between the cat and the muffler. I was able to find the replacement gasket, but I cant find the 2 bolts with the springs. Does anyone have a part number or proper name for them? Ideally I'd like to get it locally, but online would work to.

I tried autozone and pep boys in the "HELP" section but neither store had them for a Ford, only GM.

Thanks!

I have a leak in the exhaust too.... I would also like to know where I can get some!

The Dorman/Help Catalog only show to 1995 so I don't now if this is the right one for you.. But the "Help" section at an autoparts store is where your normally find the spring bolt for the exhaust flange.

The Dorman catalog states....

M10-1.50 x 70mm Includes 1 stud, 1 conical spring, 1 hex nut Ford 1995-84 Dorman part# 675-205 Help part# 03130 (1)

If your leak is between the cat and the muffler, you shouldn't need spring bolts. Any nut/bolt combo (preferrably stainless) that fill the bolt hole in the flange should work. As far as I know the spring bolts are primarily used at the downpipe to manifold connection.

Yeah, Autozone, Advance,etc.. suck for getting Help! stuff that isn't on the shelf. Go to the Dorman website, check out their online catalogs for what you need, and then search RockAuto, using the search by part#. It was the only way I could get the correct u-bolts for the rear axle tube, to install my lowering blocks.

EDIT: OOPS. Didn't see that Maniak already posted the part#. Rock has it for about $5 ( I used the Help# 03130, with Dorman as the manuf.)

is there in fact a "gasket" between the cat and the muffler? I have a leak RIGHT at that union of the two. I can feel the exhast coming out there. I'd like to fix this.
THanks

Felpro # 60641 $6.56 at Autozone

Plus, you'll probably need new bolts.

This is what they show for a '96 w/ a V6 (you didn't say what motor you have).

....sorry. I have a v6. Thanks for the reply. This will complete the long weekend of repairs. replaced all my gaskets from the head gasket up this weekend. Thanks again for the reply.

I would imagine those bolts are going to SUCK! I sprayed them down with PB. Hope that helps.
