Hey Guys I Just bought a 96 explorer I have a couple of others but havent seen this problem with them so I am stumped The A/C Vents stops working from time to time when the problem happens the rear vents will still blow air but the front dash just does nothing I feel the compresor kick on. If the air is working it stays working as long as it stays on if you turn it off and back on after any peiod of time it may or may not blow air ????????????????? Please Help if you can someone said it should be the motor resitor But I dont even know where that is.

O and the radio stoped working completely I think I can fix that but up for sugestions Thanks

You think it would be a vacume hose even though it works more then not and when its running it doesnt stop working unless I turn it off and back on

Hey Brooklyn I am tring to look at those Vac lines like you said But no one is able to tell me what the servo pistons are or where would you be able to tell me where it is located and what it looks like sorry for the trouble ???????

There's a clip just behind the engine that sometimes comes off, and the pistons are under the dash on the heater box.

Sorry You Lost ME Aout the the clip behind the engine???????? You mean the Engine that moves the truck

And the pistons on the heater box what would you say they look like ????? I just have never seen this part sorry

Yeah, that engine.... Follow the small vacuum lines to the firewall and there's like a joint in the piping that sometimes comes undone, also, under the dash, is a black box with metal round things on it, with pipes going in n out. They're the pistons to direct air flow
