I wanna do a Winch hey Jason

I am thinking about one day putting on a winch. I have seen one that Warn makes and I believe Ramsey makes an adapter to do this to any winch. Anyways, It goes in teh reciever hitch. I say Hey Jason because I think I saw a front hitch on your second gen Ex. I would like to do the same to mine. Then maybe get that winch to use in the front or back. Either way, I figure it is also less likely to get stolen some place hidden instead of right on the bumper at all times. ¿Anyone know anything about that or where I could find out?

yes i have a hitch up front. its come in very handy more than once. i got mine from www.central4wd.com a couple of years ago.

and how it usually looks with the license plate stuck inside the hitch..

don't leave something stuck in it, i ripped it off last time i went wheelin

yes thats with a body lift. before the BL, it was perfectly in the airdamn opening. no i don't mount a winch to it. i have plans to put a permanent winch behind the bumper in a way.

doubt it would fit without needing modification. i know the frame is different for the 1gs. if your gonna modify, i'd make one from scratch.

Carl, That truck looks awesome. I have a couple questions for you. First, what tow hooks are those on your truck? I MUST have a set of them. also. you dont happen to have the warn part number for that front hitch do you? Thanks man. Keep up the good work.

I couldnt imagine trying to carry a winch around on a hitch mount, that thing is gonna weigh a metric ton.

you wouldn't have to carry it around on the front end...you can just keep it in your trunk, then if you get stuck and you have a reciever on the front and the back you can put the winch where it will do the most good

I mean carrying that thing from the back of the truck to the front and having to watch where you step and all that crap, those things are heavy as all hell.

I dont considder 85 pounds terribly heavy. Though it is NOT light. I gotta see what they look like mounted that way though.
