I WANT A HUB CONVERSION KIT FOR MY SPORT TRAC!!!!

Ahh, I miss read you post. I skimmed through it and saw te @wd, thinking you meant AWD. If the sport trac is not control trac, then all you need are the PVH and the manual conversion parts. An afternoons work!

This is what I am talking about. Off-Road Solutions makes this for the Toyota Tacoma. Does anyone know if anyone makes one for the Sport Trac?

no..you could allway's do SAS to get real locking hub's

Alright. How hard and how much $$ would this project take for a Sport Trac?

so a search for SAS..you will find alot

Basically you will need the hubs and axles from a 98 or 99 Ford Ranger and then get the manual hub parts from a Brazilian company to replace the vacuum actuated parts of the Ranger.

Solid Axle Swap, depends on how much you can do or how much you will have to have someone else do. Plus what kind of axle you want to use and what type of suspension it will be using.

Honestly, I gave up on the swap for now. Just not enough resources out therewho had any clue as to what I was doing. Ideally it would be perfect to find a '98-'99 complete left and right spindle, then I could just transfer all the parts over to my spindles. This is a project I still want to do, but probably won't be reattempting for a while. BTW, the Superwinch hubs they send me were for the TTB trucks and the SLA hubs are delayed until sometime in Feb, last I heard.

Sean, I will be removing my PHV hubs / axles in a few weeks to put in Explorer full time hubs, to finally run AWD on my Ranger. Would you be interested in my left overs? MY truck is a 1999 Ranger 4x4.
