does your hood close? thats huge tubing... also are those 90* elows, they dont look right...

Ones a 90, crooked at the moment, and ones a 45 i think. and the hood just closes :D. Its 3" (inner diameter) 3 1/2" (outer diameter) piping.

Have you run it like that yet? It may be so large it hurts performance.

Of course i tried it :D

I can rev to 5k rpm before it shifts to 2nd instead of just 4k now :D and the engine compartment when you rev has a deeper tone. I can try to get a vid, but my camera doesnt get the sound right, so its all good.

just post one more time!!! you'll be at 1k!

hehe just did on the comp forum, so this is my first 1001 post!

Over 1000 posts... time to become elite maybe?:)

Yeah.. stop rubbing it in :P, i know i need to, hopefully this week theyl call me and i get the job :D, really want to be elite!

nice set up u got there with the pvc piping...lol...i like the black it looks good. I bet it gives a smoother air flow. Now all u need is a non-restrictive air filter. KKM TIME....:D

i have a K&N filter, so im gettin there :D

Just went out and extended the pipe from the two bends, fits nice now.

**EDIT**
Its ABS piping, the PVC is usually grey, i think, both parents are gas fitters so i got all the tools to make air intake stuff :D.

More Pictures, because im bored once again

Your car is next!!!

hey man, why is there a peice of tubing not connected to anything. Its the 2nd photo down. Just wondering if its a intake hose and u haven't made a hole for it yet or its just something thats laying there.

Havent made a hole for it yet, its in tommorrows plans along with sealing the other fittings with glue.

The hose goes from the oil opening to the air intake pipe, i probably should have it plugged, but ya know.

Thats just a blow off for the oil. I've seen mini filters for those. I'm working on a similar intake right now. The only thing holding me up is the air temp sensor and how to get it to clear the hood. And then a filter.

Hmm, i was thinkin of usein just a mini filter, as for clearance, you might be able to just make it if you had no insulation under the hood, but then again, i did it on a 1st gen. Take a grinder if you have to, could get 1/4" outa it if you flatten the tubes a bit.

Thats what we ended up doing at the end near the TB. Flattened it out, which I think I got enough clearance out of that. I just need to order my steel filter from Morgan-Tec when I get home and I'll be set!
