IAC Valve

I just installed a new Idle Air Control Valve on my 2002 Explorer XLT. It idles at 3000 RPM now. I have driven it for an hour and still the same. What do I need tt do? Any suggestions?

i would take it otu and put it back in. if its idling at 3000rpm then its not working all it is is a arm that moves to let more or less air in.
