Identify this hose?

This hose is hanging down between the left rear shock and the differential; wondering what it is. My guess is that it is a drain hose and the clip visible near the end is meant to hold it up against the chassis.

Can I safely ignore it for now?

it's probably the rear diff vent hose or maybe an evap hose (i'm thinking the former). it looks like the clip that used to hold it to the chassis rusted off. if that's what it is there's no danger/problem with it hanging there, but i'd replace the clip and put it back where it belongs. it mounts high to keep water out of the diff, while allowing it to breath.

If it is a breather hose that is supposed to be attached to the differential, I'll have to see if I can get it reattached soon.
