Idle problems

Here is my problem, i installed a cone filter on my 93x.When i crank it ,it idles for about 3 secs and dies. It does this about 2 to 3 times an then is fine.Icleaned the maf,disconnected the battery when installing.Only seems to do this when i first crank it or has been sitting there a couple hours.

sounds like it may not be getting enough fuel when starting. and then it starts up once you have the fuel pump going for a bit. the next time you try to start it when it's cold, try turning the key to "on" for about 5 seconds then trying to start it. if that works then it may be a clogged fuel filter, or the fuel pump starting to go bad.

Have you checked your fuel pressure?

I really dont think its the fuel.It all started when i installed that cone air filter.Also i am getting a code 33 egr valve fault,where is that valve??
