Ignition lock cylinder, trouble inserting key

I have a 2013 XLT and just recently it has become difficult to insert the key and remove it as well. turning it was a big deal until my wife was out last night with a few other women and the kids. My wife could not turn the key for about five minutes and then it finally worked.

2 questions:
anyone have a video or instructions on removing the cylinder? I'm wondering if a tumbler got misaligned or something and it may be an easy fix.

Have this happened to any of you? just trying to see if there is a good place to start chasing this down.

No. I wanted to see how i can pull the cylinder to get the graphite into the top section (unless you have graphite that defies gravity )
