Hello,
I've read many thread connected with snorkels assembly and matching a part from another cars (toyota LC, jeep xj etc.).
But apart from choosing a part - how to mount it "clean"?
I mean is it possible to attach a snorkel to A pillar without drilling? Maybe some factory rivets or mounts behind windshield seal?

I know that manufacturers like Safari advices to drill mounts there. But I am always trying to perform actions which are fully reversible.
And if it is not possible - then the best way is to use rivets with threaded insert I think?

Can you share you pics of attaching snorkel to A pilar? :)

3M tape:
Post from other site:
"I've had mine installed with double layers of 3M VHB tape for two years now. Zero issues and still holding strong. I wanted a 0% chance of any hidden leaks that I would find years later.
I still used the bracket as a mounting point for the tape. Also, there's positive pressure between the A-pillar and bracket, so it won't be pulling on the tape. Just be sure to remove any wax or other surface contaminants so the tape doesn't come off"

(I have a rear wind deflector / fairing on my other SUV solely attached with just 1/2" strips of 3M tape....been on there for 10 years now without issues.)

To be honest - I didn't thought about such solution....but seems to be interesting. I have snorkel mounted without A-pillar mount for 2 years.
And the nothing bad could happen to me after 3M tape would unglue :) So it's worth trying I think because I don't want to have another suspect in case of new leaks :P thanks
