Bumppppppp

a whole lot.starters it will need the plate to mount it on,injectors and a custom tune, just to start with!!

I wouldn't bother unless you got some serious cash flow... a supercharger is NOT a budget project at all. You're gonna need a lot of parts, a lot of knowledge, and a lot of CASH.

IF you've got all those things, then giv'er and post up pics of the build... if not, you'll buy it, get overwhelmed by the cost and complexity, and put it on ebay and lose $100 like this guy probably did...

For 300$ you could probably just buy a bigger engine....

Great so im gonna pass on this S/C. If that just to start with, its a no go for me. Im guessing I would need a FPR also...? And im curious, what size injectors would this project need? like 24 lb's?

An Eaton style supercharger would be a good addition for an off road truck. It produces good torque off idle, but the m62 is a little small for the 4.0. You would probably be better off with an m90 anyway.

M90 off like a super coupe or something?

an m62 is too small for a 4.0.

remember, if you add boost to this engine, you'll need an FMU, custom tune, and a bunch of other stuff.. i tried to turbo a 4.0 a while back and it was a failure (made 10psi boost but ran horrible.. HORRIBLE. i have a youtube video of it if you like.
