i need some suspension and misc things like that.
im new to building but have worked in a body shop for 2 years and am 19 i have some good expierence and know what im doing i just have never built something before for myself lol.

You found the right place for help and advice, if you keep an open mind. Being this is your 1st thread/post here, just be patient with the forum. People will chime in eventually. In the mean time, read up on things here.

The sub-forums are full of threads with pictures and how-too's. Try looking thru the registries and the fabrication forums for a start. Modified 1st gen forum has a lot in it as well. This should give you plenty of ideas on what can be done.

If you need help, just ask in a thread that already exists about something in particular.

Well learn about the options you are limited too and then go from there.

There is a lift and max tires sizes chart which should help determine how big you want your lift to be to fit what tires.

You can also decide suspension lift sizes from 2" to 5.5" and by what company.

You can decide gears/lockers/hubs and other things too. Just look in the offroad forum and do some searchs.

In general are you looking for all out amazing rig or just a little something to play around with?

This forum is a great resource. I'd only add that I would get to know a good truck shop near you. Tell them where you want to go, and let them make recommendations. If they have good selection and prices, they may be better than mail order. They may know where some good 2nd hand parts are... develop your resources. Welcome to the Explorer Forum!
