I'm starting out

I got myself a 91 explorer for free. Im also using it as my road truck to. I was hoping i could get some help by being point in the right direction. What should i get or do to my truck to have it ready for some generic trails, im not doing anything to extreme. What are some good things to have with. And how easy is it to modify everything? Oh yeah money is kinda sorta an issue, lets say i have a low budget. Im a "jerry rig kinda guy"

Welcome to Explorer Forum! I would upgrade as needed. That is what I have been doing. Get some bigger tires when you old ones are wore out, etc. etc.
