I live in White Plains, NY which is about 30 mins north of NY City.

I am looking for some places nearby where I can go off-road, not so much an 'official' trail, if there is such a place.

I have never done organized off-roading, just pop curbs, find mud patches, grass inlets in the middle of highways in the middle of the night, etc. I would like to find somewhere nearby where i can tear mud and grass up legally.

How can I get started in off-roading?

I have 4WD, 3" body lift, 1.5" TT/Shackles, and 31.5" mud terrains. I want to drive over anything besides big rocks or other extreme stuff as to not cause very expensive damage or hurt my body/paint.

Ive been trying to find a place near the city for the last 3 years with no luck. The only place that I know of near us would be Mahwah, NJ. Your actually not to far from there. I know Lefy has a place up in White PLains that he goes to but he is upstate right now for school. Other than that there is Paragon in Hazleton, PA. Your just gonna have to ask around and do what I do, just drive around back roads and find trails. Usually power lines have trails under them :) but I dont think thats to legal. If you find a spot let me know. You have a better chance than I do for finding a spot. We might be going to Mahwah on the 18th after the Englishtown meet. Your more than welcome to join if we go. Just find the thread in the meets and greets forum.
