info on what to do on a recall

Ok.. i bought my X used from a non ford-dealer.. so do i take my car to a Ford Dealer for recalls anyway?

Do i pay upfront and then have ford Send me a refund check?

Would it cost me to have it examined to see what recalls I havent sent the car in for? I bought it right before i started school.. had it abou a month or so and im not sure what re-calls the previous owners sent in for.. i know they sent it in for the problem of something in the engine rocking and making noise but after that im not sure..

please help me on the info! thanks guys/girls

You can check your Ford vehicle for recalls here. Just scroll down and type in your VIN number.

If you have one outstanding, just call the closest Ford dealer, and make an appointment for it to be fixed. There will be no charge. It is a good feeling to walk out of a dealership with a fixed vehicle, and not have to pay......
