Ugh my wife drove back up north this weekend and is stranded with our exp sport with 32,000 miles on it. She was on her way back from
Fireworks with an old neighbor and the ex just instantly changed she said while stuck in traffic. Total lack of power she said. Called aaa to tow it back, and the guy shows up- I'm on the speaker phone and he took a look and found a hose off the turbo. Said it's the 11th one he's seen blow a hose but never THIS hose it's always THIS one but he'd fix her up. So 3 mins goes by and he says for the heck of it let me check something.. He said he was taking off a hose up top of the intake and he said "yep" u can't drive this, hose came off and sucked something into the turbo see all this white stuff in the hose? That's not good. It's probably clogging your inner cooler good thing u didn't drive it far. The residue is up here it's been chewed up and gone through the cooler So a he said its a common problem lose hoses but this is a first? Why are these hoses coming off? How the heck does something get sucked in?

Kind of hard to say anything without seeing pics.. all anyone is going to do is guess and that doesn't help you out at all.

Your Ex is under warranty, the dealer should fix you up.

There have been several threads/posts on the boost hose coming off when the 2013 Sport came out. Several members checked their connections and ended up tightening the clamps when they found that they were loose. Here is just one of them;

Haven't read any posts about debris or things getting sucked in though. This is a first.

Well apparently she was behind an ice cream truck, that lost a crap load of those little napkins they use and according to the guy who towed it, (spoke with him today) the hose that came off the turbo was the one that forks over to the intake tube... It kind of splits and as she was driving those little napkins probably blew up enough and she got on the gas right at the right time and in it wen. Wife said the napkins were flying all over the place when traffic drove by her. Argh. Grandfather went to see her as I'm 1000 miles away and removed some
Of the tubes and saw the mess all caked up in the intercooler and the hose to the throttle body. He cleaned the hoses he removed "no sense on putting me back on like that Dave" he said... He affirmed many clamps loose. Ford road service towed it today. I'm fuming. I know the threads about the clamps but I'm never around to work on it. Wife gets in and drives it... We are in the middle of a relocation to the wonderful south....
