My vehicle has not been shifting perfect and I installed a FIPK kit (less the plastic tube) last night and now my truck REALLY shifts bad, like bangs into gear and feels like it is slipping??? I'm wondering if the MAF is screwed up? I cleaned it before when I installed a new stock filter but it did not change anything. I have another one laying around maybe I should just swap it out?

MAF would have nothing to do with transmission shifting of shift points. Disconnect the battery for 10-15 min and see if that helps.

I unhooked the battery and at 1st it was REALLY shifting rough but I cleaned the MAF really well and it seems to be way better now.

I've had the MAF effect the shift points before in my F150, and it had the simpler 4R70W.

I wouldn't have thought the MAF transfer function would get messed up enough to cause any shifting issues.

These trannys are "adaptive" and when their memory gets cleared they do shift rather harsh at first. Glad it is working better.

Yea, its "better" but still shifts like crap. I am going to install a new solenoid pack and valve body to see if it helps or not. I'm getting frustrated with it, out of the 20+ vehicles I've ever owned this has given me more issues than any. It has 1/2 the miles my F150 did and 10 times the issues!

Mine ***** like crap too sometimes it stays in a gear too long then slams into the next gear. The only time it shifts good is when my foot is to the floor, the rest of the time it revs real high with not much throttle being applied then pops into then next gear. I guess the tranny is about to go? I am interested to see if the solenoid pack and valve body helps your issues if so I might try to change mine too keep us posted thanks....
