I recently had to change out my stat housing upper and lower which was pretty easy with the help of this site and its members.:us: I am happy to say they're no leaks and my tempeture is a constant. Only problem is during the install i disconnected the neg terminal on the batt so the batt went dead ( i left it over night). Now i can jump the car drive 15miles or so and the batt wont charge. As soon as i kill the engine it wont turn over again. bummer

I tested the amps out of the batt when running and got 13.5 or so milliamps ( i think that's correct right?) The batt looks pretty old and corroded, so is it the battery or is there a chance i shorted a sensor or blew a fuse during the stat housing tear down and replacement.

Im kinda stumped on this and i don't really want to buy a new battery just to test.

thanks for any advice or direction

Try taking a little sandpaper to the terminals sounds like you have a bad ground connection. Make sure everthing is nice and sanded for a good connection. I had the same problem recently, thought my battery was Effed, didnt think about it and wasted money on a new one. It turned out I had a bad ground Replaced terminal ends and sanded terminals Now she works great.
