Bought a brush guard for my ‘01 ranger. Came with 4 bolts, 2 on each side. Couldn’t figure out how to mount it. Removed front bumper. Fits like a gem but still, with the bumper removed, couldn’t mount it.

am I missing brackets or something? It only came with the brush guard. I don’t even know what kind of brush guard this is!

Looks to me like it’s made for a gen1 Explorer, and therefore will need some small fabricating to get it to work.

Looks like it could be easily mounted by doing L shaped brackets both sides.

Looks like you're missing brackets. Mine mounted very similar to yours, and it has the "L" shaped brackets that bolted around the frame. I've since modified mine so they actually bolt TO the frame. I'll see if I've got any pics of how it works. Or possibly just a plate that mounts to the bottom of the frame rail and sticks out far enough to bolt the guard to.
