So im installing a system in my car that didnt have a sub before. Is this possible? or do i need to get an aftermarket HU. I know i need an Line Out Converter but there is no sub output, just the 4 speakers.

A new HU is best ( I have one for sale if interested), but a line out converter will work. Basically you hook the rear speaker wires up to the line out converter and it turns those signals into a RCA output. You would then run your RCAs from the LOC to your amp

You could tap the speaker leads, right after the OEM amp, like in my "Budget Bass" project...
