Installing new hard brake line from abs unit to front left

Hello just needed some clarification on these hard lines for the brakes. I had help a few years a go when we replaced the steel line that runs to the back. I cannot remember exactly what we used. You can see in the picture it looks like an adapter screwed into the abs unit then the line threads into that. Should I just replicate what we did before? What size is that adapter fitting?

I don't remember the ABS nut size but you reuse that, slip it over the line before flaring it. Have a second wrench on the adapter-nut thing to keep it from turning while screwing and unscrewing the outer nut.

Since what you did before appears to have worked, you could do that again, but doing the above you don't need to unless the threading on the original nut or adapter are destroyed. Since I see some corrosion I would hit it with penetrant spray ahead of time.

Further since the original line had a flexible segment in it and standard bulk replacement line won't, I like to put a few coils in the line right before the ABS unit as strain relief. Example:
