I have a chance to get a cheap (free) set of running boards from a 2007 Explorer Sport Trac and want to put them on my Explorer. I looked underneath and it appears all the holes are there and would line up but I wanted to see if anyone has done this before. I searched and found nothing online.

Thanks in advance.

I'm unsure this will work as the sport trac's aren't the same body. But if you can get them for free then no harm in asking to put them next to your vehicle. Then hold one up and see if the holes line up.

It's funny how some XLS Expos come with running boards and some do not. Mine did.

Well the weird thing is at the junkyard one of our generation actually had frame hiders. basically thick plastic in a wedge shape in place of steps so that the frame was hidden from sight.
