Looking for a permanent fix for this aparrently age old problem. I have the screw style manifold "no stud and bolt" which makes this all the more difficult. I will add som pictures soon, but if you are reading this I have already removed the upper and lower manifolds. My next trip is to the solvent tank to get rid of all of the carbon crap tat is all over the inside of the manifold and free up some HP by improving flow. I will also "slightly" hone the intake ports and smooth them out after I clean them. This is a real mess thoughm there are vacuum lines everywhere, and even if I fix this there will still be a problem with the GEM, and the PCM so no telling what I'll have to fix next. The 400.00 98' sploder project continues. So far, upper ball joints a tire plug, new battery, cleaned the MAF, TB, TPS, IAT, IAC. and still have so much more to go. Stay tuned for more fun folks.

God Bless, and Semper FI,

Permatex Black Silicone adhesive sealant part # 81158 (old #16B) Use it in conjunction with the gaskets, solves a lot of problems.

I love that stuff, I'd eat it on toast if it was sweeter. :D
