Hi all, Paul from Hilton Head. Former Marine and current reserve guard. I own a 2000 Mountaineer and a 1998 4.0 Expo 4x4 among a few other cars. I have the habit of buying heaps just because they run and have a really low price tag. It really pisses my wife off when I come home to get the flatbed because she knows Ill be coming back with another car for the collection heh heh heh...
The question I have is are the message centers interchangeable among all the years that had them. The one in the mounty wasnt working so I bought one off ebay for 5 dollars for a 96 and it works except for telling me what my fuel economy is and its driving me nuts. I mixed and matched boards but the second original board is toast. The display boards work and at least now I have the right color but fuel econ is still not working.
Anyhow thanks for all the help and this board is great, probably the best one from all the others I keep up with real information and help.
