1997 Ford Explorer
I have a 97 Ford Explorer that I'm getting to know pretty well. :exp: I went through training as a mechanic in the Army back in 1981-82. I've spent a lot of time in the automotive industry, but more on the paperwork side. I do work on cars for family and friends. And when mine need work. I've always had a preference to Fords. Don't know where it came from or why. I just prefer Fords. I bought my Explorer in 2005. The engine is solid! Never a leak. I've had to replace things here and there, but I love my truck!

So that's my intro. Happy I found this place.

Hey! Thanks for the welcome!! I have a feeling I'm gonna be hitting up this site a lot. I do my own work on my truck, and sometimes I get in over my head. But never have I given up. I have always found a way to complete the repair myself, (with help from friends sometimes).

Anyways, thanks BigRondo. I appreciate the welcome!

Thanks Brooklyn! Always nice to feel welcomed into a new group. I've already learned some things from the forums on this site that I didn't know before. I really, really, really hate letting a mechanic touch my truck. Unless its to change the tires. Its just that I know my engine, I know the under belly. I don't want strange fingers messing around with my baby. Yes, it needs work. But my kids are grown and married. I have time and energy to give to my truck.
Again, thanks for the welcome. Much appreciated.

Welcome to the site.

Tony
