They make radiators with extra rows but it's not necessary for regular driving. Are you planning on towing? I have a 160 degree thermostat, and my temperature gauge doesn't even move most of the time. I still get heat.

I thought Auto-Zone had one?

Years ago when I hit a big raccoon on my way home, I had to replace the radiator.
I went to Auto-Zone(of course, check NAPA and Oreilly's too) and I'm thinking they had 2 choices. I may be wrong here, especially since that was probably 6-7 yrs. ago. don-ohio (:^)

If you measure your unit and have a little more room you might try summit racing. They sell aluminum hi performance units with a different core than factory. And you might get more cooling with a unit if you use an external trans cooler. That will also reduce internal temperature. Is you heater core clogged were your not getting good flow.
Good luck

the problem im having is when i sit in traffic more than five minutes my check engine light comes on eventhough the temp guage is on the lower end.it goes off once im moving.i assumed its getting too hot.

Well for $50.00 it's cheaper than a new unit why don't you buy. A real temp Unit from pep boy. Your sending unit could be bad at lease you will have a real number to judge by

A severe duty fan clutch and a new fan with more blades would help.

i will check the fan clutch.

^ Yes,on the fan clutch and fan blade. BIG difference when those are right. The fan blades almost always are cracked when you remove them. don-ohio (:^)

You said that there's a check engine light. What's the code?

i used my new code checker.it said no codes.i guess i need to read the manual better.

Code reader

I have the same problem when I did KOEO TEST I received system check ok and received 111. Which ment ok but when key on engine on test everything cycled clicked but no code was given. I know something has to be wrong 10 mpg . I did what Brooklyin said cleaned mas sencer and my throttle body butterfly was covered in a thick coating of snot. I passed emissions test. My gto would run hot it had a clogged heater core. Back then you just by passed it.
