Is my IAC valve after-market?

2002 V8 XLT and >150k.

So I've been having a very annoying whistling noise that I believe is coming from my IAC. Cleaning it hasn't helped much at all so I looked up a replacement on rockauto and noticed mine doesn't look like the motorcraft part they have in the picture. Mine has that black plastic breather like cap on it similar to some of the after-market ones.

Can anyone recall whether or not their stock IAC has this plastic breather cap? Or is the pic on rockauto just incorrect? Im curious because Ive had this explorer for over 100k mi and have never had to touch the IAC.

Pretty sure there are 2 different types on the V8s & they are not interchangeable as when I replaced mine (due to whistle / roar noise in the intake), I first received the wrong one & had to echange it.

Interesting for the same model year and engine, I have the same one in rockauto.com and it's the original part (never replaced that since I bought my mounty)

Besides that, I looked into the whistling issue a little more. The good news is, it's not the IAC valve. The bad news is, it's not the IAC valve... I actually coudn't figure out where the sound was coming from. I tried shooting carb cleaner all around all of the vacuum lines I could see to try and find a leak but nothing came up.

Along with another bigger issue w the ex, Im am too frustrated to continue looking. Gonna do some more searching on here and see what other people have had...

When I had to replace my IAC it was due to more of a "firey roar" noise in the intake that seemed like hell itself had a small opening in my engine. When my son's jeep had an actual whistle at idle it turned out to be an intake gasket that fixed it.
