i have a first gen without swaybars and the mods that follow. f150 spacers and homemade shackles (2 inch over) custom shock towers in the front that i made to hold a 10inch travel shock and stock springs with j hooks. i know that my shocks are not limiting me because there still not fully extended and i know my coil isnt fully extended because without j hooks it wount pop out of the bucket. im getting aroud 8 inchs of droop or so depends on how its measured. i think hte radius arm is holding me up now is there any way to change the bushing or so to get more down travel... i thought about egging the hole out so it could drop the arm more but thats a bit unsafe... and i have rubber not poly bushings. i know that poly is stiffer and would hold the arm even more.....someone give me an idea... even if it is kinda unsafe im willing to try it for "offroad" purposes only.....

If you still have the factory radius arms, that is whats limiting your travel.
Thats why people go to extened radius arms.
Hope this helps.:)

I thought this might intrest you since your probably thinking about getting extended radius arms. That's how they built them at least :)

Good Luck!!

Thats a pretty sweet set of extended arms. Where does one get Heim joints that size though?

I thought that they were pretty sweet too, i'd love to build some for myself. They sell heim joints at farm supply stores like rural king. These are for tractors but I would think they would be acceptable...but maybe not i honestly dont know....it's getto but if it would work i dont' see why not, their beefy as hell. Anyway I did find some online here
I've never heard of the company but if they would work, the ones i've seen at rural king look beefier than those. Anyway, i'd love to hear what everyone says, I think it would be awsome to build some.

Anyway, just a thought
