hi yall. i cant tell if fan is blowing the amount of air it should be. ill have the heater on (because its cold) on full blast, and it feels like its barely on. as if you were blowing with your mouth on your hand. thats the high setting for my ex. could there possibly be something wrong, as in it not turning fast enough? ive already replaced the variable speed resister last year...also..when on setting one (the fist click from off) it sounds like the fan it turning agaist something, like paper, a continious pinging sound. hope this makes sense. if i have to, ill make an audio recording. thanks yall.

You should probably remove the fan and inspect it for debris. Sounds like you've got some leaves caught in it. It's just 3 bolts and it slides out I think.

i have checked it....theres nothin in there...maybe i should just buy a new one...

have you figured out the fix for the weak blower?? I have had my explorer for 7 yrs and the blower has blown weak with no nosie the whole time, I originally thought it was going out but it has not changed. its a 91 4.0 4x4 4dr.

Could it be a stuck duct? Some ducts work on vacume, maybe one is partially closed.

ok, update to this. The fan now sounds light a freight train on all settings. i mean, louder than my aftermarket stereo at the highest volume. its a continuos GGGGGGGRRRRRRRRR sound, and im freezing..
