Jacobs Wires

Ok, maybe the forum here is making me somewhat lazy, but I searched the net for a little while and couldn't find a place to buy or find out how much a set of Jacobs wires would cost for me. Anybody got any ideas? Do they sell them at places like Auto Zone?

I actually did find their site before, but didn't find any pricing or application guides. I just went there and used there "retail e-mail form". Kinda strange, no place to ask a question or tell them why you are e-mailing them. Oh well, just wait a few days and see what they come up with! I saw they have like 4 different types of wires...will only one style/type fit my engine or do I have to choose?

You can choose, but you really don't need the ceramic boot wires. There is also a 800 number there to call them.

No ceramic huh? That's probably better on the wallet anyway. Figured I'd choose the most reasonable priced style anyway. I'll try the 800 number if the e-mail thing doesn't get me the info I need. Having a family and working a rotating shift, I don't like calling places and being on hold waiting for 15 minutes for a 30 second phone call!

I got my Jacobs wires for $65 from Mark Horstman at Performancespecialist.com. You can email Mark at <performance@wazzu.net> and order them, his prices were much better than Jacobs. He is also very knowledgeable and is willing to help with mods.

tony999, I was not aware of that! I always heard the quote
the way I have, and didn't realize it's in Red October,
but yes, great movie! Being a lover of the sea and
serving 6 years in the USN submarine force, it is one of
my favorite quotes.

ANOTHER WIRE QUESTION

Would the wire sets be the same for a 95 Ranger 4.0L and a 95 Explorer 4.0L?

Yes, I believe so. Actually, I think the wires are the same for all the 4.0L OHV engines.
